Srila Giri Maharaja – “Another fake challenge from Steve Deace?”

Date: 8/3/18

Mr. Deace,

Hare Krishna.

During your Podcast Ep. 338 you presented the following challenge:

@25:11 “because the only worldview The only one; pester me, bring me your emails, bring me your best arguments; i’ve held all your positions over my 45 years on this planet, and I frankly probably know your positions better than you do. So, bring them to me. Flood the inbox at [email protected] Show me another worldview that can adequately explain why the world is the way it is, why we as a species, as human beings are the way we are, and what the solution to it is.”

You then say: “Let me repeat that.”: (paraphrasing) Why the world is the way it is etc., and you repeat the challenge adding “show me another worldview outside the worldview Read More...

Srila Giri Maharaja – “The guru-less disciple”

Date: 7/25/18

Dear Srimati Kamala Devi,

Please accept my humble dandavat pranamas in remembrance of my Divine Masters.

Again, I thank you for your email, your well-wishes for me and your considered thoughts and opinions.

As you have touched on topics reminiscent of those I have heard discussed by our predecessor acharyas, I am indebted to you for helping me recall their words. However, after carefully considering your points, I conclude most of what you say is wrong and, when it is right, it is for the wrong reason.

My reading of your two letters tells me you are another self-inflicted (by your own choice) casualty of the guru-less disciple population which believes themselves to be disciples but, when asked who their guru is, either can not or will not respond or, respond (as you Read More...

Srila Giri Maharaja – “I am a complete nobody… “

Date: 7/18/18

Dear Srimati Kundalata Devi dasi,

Please accept my humble obeisances in remembrance of our Divine Masters.

I have felt troubled ever since reading this reply from you some months ago (3/30/18) to a post on my Facebook wall: “Who am I? I am a complete nobody… “ I began an immediate response on March 31 but, unfortunately, could not complete it to my satisfaction. But this phrase “I am a complete nobody” is one that does not sit well with me with respect to you; because it is not true. Expressions like this automatically establish the glories of Srila Guru Maharaja. He is so great that compared to him, even someone qualified in many ways, as you are, feel as if they are “nobody.” It also shows that Srila Guru Maharaja has instilled the quality of humility Read More...

Transcendental competition: Who’s the Mystery Man?

In our post BSG | “I need your association.” we offered the chance to request a full copy of the email sent by Sripada Goswami Maharaja to me, Giri Maharaja. Among the requests we received was this one:

Your Name: Ramai
Your Email: [Redacted]
Message to the Secretary: Dandavat Maharaja. Send me a copy of Goswami’s email of apology

Although the name is listed as that of Ramai (Sriman Ramai dasa brahmachari) and the email matches with the one I have on record for him, I was highly doubtful that he would have much interest in this matter. Neither have I heard anything from him (that I can recall) for the past eight years or so.

More to the point, this demanding language: “Send me a copy of Goswami’s email of apology” does not ring true to me as language this gentle vaishnava Read More...

My dandabat pranam.

I have not felt well since our last conversation. [. . .]

I felt our many conversations were rewarding. There are many things I can actually only discuss with you. You have been there since the beginning and faithful throughout. I need your association.

You must know that I also highly value your camaraderie (tovarish) and affection. Please accept my apology for giving any other manic impression.

With lasting affection and admiration,

Bhakti Sudhir Goswami

giri mj — you are kindly, most affectionately keeping me honest (if that’s possible) trivikram mj and i were praising u like anything at lunch prasad the other day

one could think, “giri mj is a little argumentative” and be that as it may t mj and i both agreed, you an acute listener and observer and very often reveal (to he and i) the gaps (when speaking fragmentally) the flaws in our theory or proposal and natural questions that arise if one is following the implications of what is being said (and much much more)

Srila Giri Maharaja – “The treasure house increases. And the door is wide open to hundreds of new transcripts.”

Date: 6/21/18

Dear Sriman Paramananda dasa,

Please accept my humble obeisances in remembrance of our trinity of Gurus.

I am pleased to inform you that all the Sridhara Maharaja transcripts you have sent us have been posted on our website as of about two weeks ago.

Immediately upon receiving them I began using them for my own research and found them to be extremely helpful. I often remember a few words exactly as I heard them from Srila Sridhara Maharaja that relate to some point I want to explore further. However, I would be at a complete loss to finding the full expression and the context without the help of the transcripts you have provided which allow me to do string searches to find the material I’m looking for.

As an example, only yesterday I was searching for the text related to Read More...

Srila Giri Maharaja – “A word to the wise… “

Inauguration of Sri Chaitanya Chandrodaya Mandira. L-R, Govinda Maharaja, (Seated on Vyasasana) Srila Sridhara Maharaja, Srila Prabhupada Swami Maharaja

Date: 5/14/18

Dear Sriman Nila Madhava dasa,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

“A word to the wise is sufficient.” “A picture is worth a thousand words.” See above photo.

What can I say about those who will not believe what their eyes and ears tell them, who deny the conclusions of their own scriptures and their own guru or param-guru (Srila Swami Maharaja)? I cannot help them, you cannot help them, their guru cannot help them, no one can help them. Their situation is described thusly by Sri Prahlada Maharaja:
